How Does Neurofeedback Therapy Work?

Our brain works every moment of every day. From listening in class to balancing checks to writing reports and more. When your mind is highly active, it uses a much faster frequency known as Beta. When you're about to relax after a tiring day, a different area of your brain will be activated, known as Alpha. Neurofeedback therapy works by enhancing your brain's ability to transition between different phases smoothly. Aside from arousal and relaxation, your brain also controls and regulates your emotion, affect, and attention. Let’s learn more.

What is Neurofeedback Therapy?

How Does Neurofeedback Therapy Work?

During a Neurofeedback Therapy, sensors and wires will be attached to your scalp. Similarly, these wires are connected to a computer. The software on the computer will detect and record your brainwaves and show if they are in proper order in real-time. The feedback will come in the form of a sound, movie, or game. Your brainwaves are what controls audio activity, the film, or the game. This observation will allow your brain to improve its ability to self-regulate.
